Alergic to Amoxicillin

Well we had our first run with an alergic reaction to Amoxicillin. Nic woke up yesterday covered in Hives. Turns out to be an alergic reaction to the Amoxicillin she was taking for an ear infection. She's in good spirits but her little hands are so swollen they make it hard to grab her toys. She's being quite the little trooper through all this.

11 months

Nikki is almost 11 months old now! Crazy how time flies with a baby!

Showing off those baby blues

We spent last weekend outside most of the days, Nic got a little red in the cheeks but her sun hat did a great job keeping her from getting sunburned.

Soooo Big!!

We have learned "so big"!! The first time was last Tuesday; she finally understood the game. She has also been working with Duane at daycare with "gimme five"... she's picking that up quickly too... enjoy the video! We sure think she's cute!

7 Months Already!

We are finally updating our blog after a short 11 week hiatus! Lots has happened to our little peanut! She is now 7 months old (31 weeks). She is sitting really well on her own now. She still loves to screech, so we are starting to learn "no screech". She is also eating fruits and veggies (baby food). No teeth yet! Day care is going really well; Nikki has taken quite a liking to Carol and Duane (Carol's husband). As Duane reads the newspaper in the morning, Nikki tells him all about her night, then reaches out an grabs his mustache! :)

Everything goes into her mouth now (as you will see in the pictures below)! Bath time is also a LOT more fun now! We splash around and hold on to the shower head. Next week we are hoping to go into a pool for the first time. I'm not sure how the little swimmer diapers work, somehow they don't absorb water... yet they are still diapers... hmmmm...

Talkin' and Laughin'

Nikki is now 20 weeks! At her 4 month check up she was in the 95th percentile for height and 90th for weight. She has started squealing and has become a lot more vocal. She has almost rolled over, but her little arm prevents her from getting all the way.

In the clip below, she has the hiccups.

3 (and a half) Month Pictures

Here are a few of Nikki's 3 month pictures. Actually, they are closer to 4 months... we were preoccupied with Christmas... :)

This was a Christmas gift from our good friends, Sherri and Jason. She looked so cute all dressed up I had to share. She's ready for her first game!

...Maybe we should focus on rolling over first...

Now we just need to get her a basketball hoop.

First Christmas!

Christmas was very good for Nikki! She and her new cousin, Heidi, made quite the haul. This year we went down to my sister's house in Inver Grove Heights. We celebrated Christmas Eve there, then drove to Andover to celebrate Christmas Day at Mike's parents.

More presents! ...Oma and Opa (Grandma and Grandpa) went a little over board on gifts. I think they were a little excited to finally have grandkids!
